SEPTEMBER 2, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

Praise God for the blessings of last Friday’s celebration of our 20th LDWBC Christian College Day. Like the Psalmist in Psalm 126:3, we fittingly and thankfully could say, “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” We thank God for the two decades of His great grace with His guiding hand, and faithful leadership in every step of the way. We deeply appreciate what our Lord has done in the past, what He is doing in the present, and what He will continue to do in the future. Again, as the Psalmist would say in Psalm 118:23, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” We are however assured that the best is yet to come. The best days of our Church educational ministries are still ahead of us!

We thank God for the very appropriate message and challenge through our speaker Bro. Geoffrey Solano on the theme, “Continuing Education of the Heart”, based on I Samuel 16:7 and even on II Timothy 3:14. The insights, reflections, testimonies, and grace continue on in faithfully and diligently instilling the fear of God and the Word of God in the hearts of our students. This would enable them to as well develop their academic performance and practical skills to the glory of God. We are always reminded in Proverbs 9:10 that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” We are sincerely grateful for the Holy Spirit of God who indwells and consistently desires to fill us His children and thereby enabling us to understand and apply the inerrant, inspired, infallible, indestructible, and indispensable Word of God.

As we host anew, and gladly get engaged in this year’s Soul Winning Baptist Leadership Conference, let us keep on being a blessing one to another, and a channel of God’s blessings to our IWWE partners and every Pastor and worker-delegate coming from various Churches and Mission works. With such engagement consistently bathe in prayer, motivated by God’s love and grace, we confidently look forward to a blessed time, with the desired sweet every Bethany member to take note, endeavor to take part, and really get involved in this great privilege to come together with hearts united in approaching God’s throne of Grace with unwavering confidence because of Jesus Christ our High Priest. The Bible in Hebrews 4:16 exhorts us, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Thankfully, God provides help in our time of need. There is no request too small because God wants us in Philippians 4:6 to “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
