NOVEMBER 11, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

Thank God for the opportunity to visit and minister in the 19th anniversary of our daughter Church in San Jose, Romblon last Thursday and Friday. It was another maximized engagement with a side and tail trip visits to our other daughter and partnering Churches in Numancia, Kalibo, Makato, Malay, and New Washington all in the nearby province of Aklan. We praise and thank God for the blessings, victories, and challenges not only in the 19th Church anniversary celebration but likewise in the fellowship with Pastors and Missionaries. I do appreciate much the company of Deacon Florendo San Juan who could certainly testify of the blessings, joys, and privilege of traveling for God with a divine purpose.

Surely, the Church anniversary was not only a celebration of God’s faithfulness and sustaining grace through the years, but even a re-dedication of the brethren’s commitment to be a Church with a testimony that lifts up the Truth, supported by the Truth, and sharing the Truth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Their theme, “Always Abounding in the Work of the Lord” lifted from I Corinthians 15:58, is indeed a timely exhortation to seize and steward the vast opportunities in the ministry in their community and beyond. We thank God for the tender, humble, and yielded hearts of the brethren led by Pastor Roblito Gregorio, with the full support of Bro. Ronnie Samson, a faithful and dedicated member who is currently a two-termer Mayor in their town island of San Jose with 5 barangays.

As we revisit and review in this morning’s worship service the 3rd of the Ten Commandments, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain”, let us always be careful not to take God’s name in vanity, but sincerely take His name in victory. We are to wear, share, and even bear the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible in Colossians 3:17 clearly exhorts us, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

My dear brethren, let us humbly and gratefully take the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in victory, moving and traveling for Him and with Him, with a real good and upright testimony reflective of His Holy Name!

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
