September 10, 2017 – Note from the Pastor

Dear Brethren,

Glory be to our great and faithful God who once again enabled us to host our annual Soul Winning Leadership Conference, already on its 10th year. Thank God for the sweet spirit of the Conference, and for some 112 Churches and Mission works represented. We praise God for the 10 years of blessed and productive partnership with International World Wide Evangelism (IWWE) and Parkside Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas in encouraging fellow laborers in the harvest to be much more involved and effective in soul winning, and spiritual leadership.

We thank God for the 10 schools reached-out, along with the 3-day door knocking, saturation evangelism, and Bible distribution in around 1-kilometer radius around the Church location that yielded 13,427 professions of faith in Christ. There were 21,420 Book of John and Romans, along with a little over 30,000 Gospel tracts distributed. What a privilege to sow the seed of God’s Word, and be assured from Isaiah 55:11 that it will not return unto Him void, but accomplish that which God please, and prosper in the thing whereto He sent it. Likewise Galatians 6:9 guarantees, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Our God has once again stirredup the hearts of the delegates and Bethany brethren with a great number of decisions made in various altar calls. Thank God for again using our partners from IWWE led by Dr. Mike Wells in bringing the helpful lessons and timely messages. May we continue to experience “perfect soundness” in fulfilling God’s purpose, always “be constant” in God’s ways, and truly have a yielded heart in allowing the Lord to “grow our capacity” for His use in a greater way. God surely is able to grow our capacity to love, to know more of His eternal truths, to teach others, to win souls, and to give liberally and cheerfully.

Let me express anew my deepest appreciation to God for you my dear brethren who once again exemplified a servant’s heart, and a sacrificial giving in every way, always having a tender and obedient heart for God. The various Task Forces on Responsibilities worked hard and served well, and no doubt rendered a commendable and inspiring ministry. Thank you my dear brethren and co-laborers for the sweet spirit of service and cooperation that were truly evident. God surely took notice and recognized even those of you who applied leave of absence from your respective work places, and wholeheartedly get involved. Indeed, your labour is not in vain in the Lord!

My dear brethren, let us then move on, and look forward to hosting anew for our 11th Soul Winning Leadership Conference already scheduled on September 3-5 next year. We by then start to have an annual theme, and carry-on and adopt that of our Church anniversary and World Missions Conference theme. The appropriate theme next year is “CONTINUE” for all our big/significant Church events and functions. We continue By Faith to develop a heart always stirred-up to have sustained compassion and concern for the lost. God help us to have and demonstrate such kind of heart!

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory,
Pastor Gerry Nable
