October 15, 2017 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We praise and thank God for the blessings and fruitful outcome of the 18-day USA trip. My wife and I sincerely appreciate your understanding, support, cooperation and valued prayers for replenishing strength, divine wisdom and greater vision in ministering and likewise seizing and stewarding the tremendous opportunities in the vast harvest fields. Our gracious Lord has indeed amazingly favoured the trip with the sweet reunion with my mom on her 90th birthday, as well as with all my 6 siblings and their families in America.

The trip was likewise maximized and accentuated not only with the vital visit to our Pastor Emeritus residing in Georgia, but also renewing fellowship with some of our former Bethany brethren, and also a visit/meeting with spiritual leaders at the respective headquarters of some of our ministry partners as Rock of Ages Ministries, International Board for Jewish Missions, Baptist International Missions, Inc., and Baptist Bible Fellowship, International. It was surely a fitting and timely way of strengthening and enlarging partnership in the pursuit of World Evangelization.

What a blessing as well to share God’ message with some of our partnering Churches in Delaware, Philadephia, New Jersey, and in the cities of Carson, La Verne, and West Covina in California. It was concluded last Wednesday evening after the service at Lighthouse Baptist Church in West Covina, through the joyful reunion with some 30 former Bethany brethren from the Southern California area.

My dear brethren, let us faithfully move on in God’s renewing grace keeping the main thing, the main thing in our Church purpose. It is certainly to glorify God as we devotedly obey His orders in fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We are always to recognize the real source of our strength and victories, and avail such with our hearts fully yielded in approaching God’s throne of grace. Surely, God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.

As we press on in our vigorous Missions thrust, with the training, sending out, and supporting, as God enables, many more Missionaries God calls, would to God we pray, trust and yield in the reasonable challenge of consistently stepping up our Faith Promise Missions Giving. As of last Sunday, our average weekly Missions Giving is at Php 140k for the past 32 weeks since we renew our Faith Promise Missions commitment last March this year. While it is just approximately 55% of our average weekly Tithe, we thank God for the even gradual but continuing upward climb which is already more than half of the Tithe.

My dear brethren, let us sincerely press on with such outstanding challenge to at least equal our Faith Promise Missions Giving (FPMG) with that of our Tithe, and truly trust in what God can do and provide.

All by God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
Pastor Gerry Nable
