Dear Brethren,
We praise and thank God for the continuing relevance and significance of our various Church outreach ministries like VIC, OFW, RU Recovery, Manna,Visitation, Saturday Good News classes, and Medical-Dental Mission clinic, among others. Through these ministries, our Lord has enabled us to CONTINUE sowing God’s Word and the Gospel message, by God’s grace and for God’s glory. This is essentially a part of our local Mission work extending from our Church base to the immediate environs (Jerusalem), as well as to other cities and provinces in the country (Judea), and likewise to people groups that are seemingly forgotten, ignored, neglected, despised or even abandoned (Samaria). Along with them, we CONTINUE to simultaneously pursue with such outward focus our foreign Missions (regions beyond) thrust.
We are consistently reminded and challenge of our basic Mission as a Church in fulfilling God’s Great Commission to the glory of God. This is likewise in conjunction with our commitment to the Great Commandment as our Lord Jesus affirmed in Matthew 22:37-39, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the
second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” We therefore CONTINUE to carry-out by God’s enabling and sustaining grace the furtherance of the Gospel sowing here and abroad.
We thank God for, and rejoice with another momentous and significant event in our World Miss ions thrust as we CONTINUE to send-out and support Missionaries, and subsequently plant more Churches. The Commissioning last Sunday afternoon for the work in Tipas-Taguig,
and this afternoon for the work in Tagum City, Davao are real testimonies of God’s faithfulness in calling many more co-labourers for the great harvest fields. We look forward to formally recognize and commission as well, 3 to 4 Missionaries to the foreign fields at the latter part of this year. We at the same time CONTINUE to train, equip, and prepare men and women called of God for the vast harvest fields here and beyond.
My dear brethren, let us then CONTINUE to patiently, passionately, and persistently invest the treasures, gifts, and other resources God entrusted to us for eternal gains.
