MARCH 31, 2019 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We now move on to the 5th Sunday this Church fiscal year in consistently carrying out and trusting God with our Stewardship and Faith Promise Missions Giving Commitment. We thank God for the continuing upward climb in our Missions Giving with the past 4 Sundays average weekly offering at Php180k . We pray that we can continue to move onward, upward to hit even a weekly Php200k and beyond by God’s enabling and sustaining grace. While we continue to pray for more laborers into God’s harvest fields (Matthew 9:38 challenge), and thank God for His apparent continuing favorable response, we must at the same time realize and respond to the great need for rope holders or supporters both prayerfully and financially.

We continue to recognize and take to heart the importance and significance in fulfilling and stewarding the Great Commission especially considering this year’s Church Anniversary and World Missions Conference theme: “NOW”. The Word of God puts emphasis on doing things at once-Straightway, Immediately, or NOW. The key word in the Gospel Book of Mark is “Straightway”, “Immediately”, and even “Forthwith”. The Spirit of God is evidently emphasizing how quickly things were done, and the completeness with which they were done. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself in John 9:4 testified, I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

There is really a need to have urgency in response and obedience to God’s call and pleading. God’s call to salvation, confession of Christ, baptism into His Body, and faithful service have to be acted to right way. Surely, the King’s business requires haste as David would even point out, though in a differing context, in I Samuel 21:8. Let us do away with the sin of procrastination or delaying such needed favorable response to the most urgent task of reaching the lost souls for Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ aptly reminds us in John 4:35, “Say not ye, there are yet f our months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”

My dear brethren, let us NOW continue to seize and steward the moment and the opportunities God sends our way.

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
