JULY 28, 2019 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We take up in the service this morning the need and challenge to be “Moving Forward with a Life of Faith”. This has to be manifested in every facet of our Christian life and ministry. The Bible clearly reminds us in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” If we are going to know as a child of God, spiritual health, holiness, and happiness; if we are going to experience answers to prayer and taste the power of God; and if we are going to move on to maturity, then we must be living a life of faith.

Faith is plainly depending on the facts of God, and simply reckoning on the faithfulness of God. The reason we can depend upon the facts of God is due to the faithfulness of God. Standing behind the Word of God is the worthiness of the God of the Word. We need but a better understanding of God’s greatness and faithfulness. When we begin to understand the greatness and faithfulness of our God and in simple faith depend upon Him, mountains will move! God affirms and promises in Psalm 81:10, “I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land in Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.” God is laying down His credentials. He is reminding us of who He is, and what He is able to do, and then He asks us to act accordingly, when He said, “open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”

My dear brethren, may we truly recognize what God can do through faith. Such dynamic of faith is demonstrated in our lives in two ways. Faith realizes the promises of God, and also releases the power of God. It is faith that releases the power of God enabling us to overcome obstacles, defeat the devil, witness with power, and serve with success. It was John who said in I John 5:4b, “and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” Let us continue then to walk and live by faith much more as we level-up our Faith Promise Missions Giving!

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
