JANUARY 13, 2019 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

As we continue to fervently pray and diligently prepare for our upcoming 65th Church Anniversary on February 10 Sunday services celebration, and highlighted by our 19th World Missions Conference on February 12-14, let us surely have a trusting and yielded heart once again ready for the Lord’s use. While we continue to take special offerings for our World Missions Conference expenses, we believe it is likewise best and fitting to similarly prepare to bring-give on that February 10 Anniversary Sunday our Special 65th Church Anniversary Offering that will be primarily dedicated for use in the ensuing 19th World Missions Conference diverse needs. This also includes the series of connected and assisted activities as ABC Board Meeting and interview with new batch of Missionaries on February 11, the ABC 25th Anniversary related engagements on February 15, and the International Board for Jewish Missions (IBJM) TrainingSeminar on February 16 and 18.

Just like the experience of Israel in Joshua chapter 3, we need to have our attention to the prompting or impulse of the Holy Spirit of God upon our lives and ministries. We continue to recognize God’s call for service, directing us in service, and accordingly empowering us for service. We utterly fail without God’s presence, power, and provision. We can do nothing when we depend upon ourselves. We must resolve therefore to rest wholly and completely upon the Lord. God gives us specific direction, and it is indeed our duty to obey and follow Him with our swift action. With such obedience, we can confidently anticipate and eventually experience the miracles of the Lord. Our God is a miracle-working God. He shows His miracles, among others, in providing for His own, and guiding His own. The Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:19 appropriately exclaims, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Meantime, we look forward to another significant milestone event in our World Missions thrust with our Missionary Commissioning next Sunday, January 20, in our 4 o’ clock afternoon service, of our 3 more Missionary family units to the foreign fields, and 1 Tentmaker Missionary to the local field. We thank God for His call upon the J.M. family to B., P.S.G. back to her country in P.N.G, and A.T. to one of Southeast Asia Creative Restricted Access Nations. They will be our Bethany’s 28th, 29th and 30th Missionaries to the foreign fields to seek acceptance for use of the Asia Baptist Clearinghouse servicing facilities. Bro. Roger Elmido will then be our Tentmaker Missionary Pastor to take care of our Bethany Galas, Quezon City Mission work that was momentarily handled by Missionary J.M.

We consequently continue to trust God to enable us to level up our commitment and fulfilment in our Faith Promise Missions Giving. The Bible in II Corinthians 9:8 aptly declares and assures us, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

My dear brethren, let us not limit God! He can do the miraculous. He has done it already in saving us. He will do still more if we let Him have His way. He undertakes the impossible and proves that with Him, all things are possible!

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
