FEBRUARY 3, 2019 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We heartily and spiritedly continue to pray and prepare for our upcoming 65th Church anniversary, celebration of which is already next Sunday, February 10, and the ensuing highlighted 19th World Missions Conference on February 12-14, Tuesday morning through Thursday evening. Let us really take to heart and get ready with our Special Church Anniversary Offering which we dedicate and earmark to address the various needs and concerns in our 19th World Missions Conference, and even the related activities thereafter. Would to God that such Special Church Anniversary Offering truly reflects our love and appreciation for God’s doing and favor through the years.

We are to fervently pray for the sweet and gracious spirit of the conference, knowing fully well that what really motivates us is the love of God, the grace of God, the glory of God, the eternal souls of men, and the people of God. Would to God we consistently manifest a servant’s heart, a loving spirit, a renewed mind, and a real excellent attitude. It is surely possible because of the Spirit of Christ in us.

Let us always be aware that Jesus Christ whom we preach and declare, is the reason for our celebration, and the focus and cause of our World Missions Conference. He is indeed the epitome or embodiment of Grace and Truth in this world. Jesus Christ is truly the Word that “was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Grace and Truth come from no other source than Jesus Christ Himself.

We are commanded to go with the Truth. The Great Commission is essentially a command for us to take the Truth we have received from God to a lost and dying world. We are commanded to take the Gospel to every creature. We have been commissioned with the Truth. But let us realize that the expression or proclamation of that Truth has to be by grace. If we are to be effective in sharing the Word, we have to share that Truth in love. We have to go with the Truth but we have to go with the disposition of grace. We have to express that Truth by grace.

My dear brethren, let us NOW continue on, and be ready with grateful, gracious, and generous hearts for God’s grandest purpose.

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
