FEBRUARY 10, 2019 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We praise and thank God for the 65 fruitful and blessed years He has favored Bethany to date. We thank God for how He has guided and directed us through the years, bringing us this far in His great sustaining and rewarding grace. Indeed, as the Psalmist would declare in Psalm 118:23, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” What a great God we have, we worship, and we serve!

As we celebrate and honor God in this our 65th Church Anniversary, let us sincerely come with humble, grateful, and joyful hearts. We can sincerely rejoice with the Psalmist in Psalm 126:3, “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” We are truly thankful for what God has done, is doing, and will yet do in our lives and in our midst, as we keep on striving together for the faith of the Gospel. Surely, the best years of Bethany is still ahead of us!

Thank you my dear brethren for your continuing prayers, heartfelt support, and unwavering cooperation in pursuing God’s purpose for us as a Church. We vigorously press on in faithfully and diligently fulfilling God’s mandate in the pursuit of the Great Commission. Knowing fully well that the Church is the pillar and ground of Truth, we NOW continue to lift up and proclaim the Truth, and be much more confident that we are certainly supported by the Truth.

We moreover thank God even for a good number of our brethren, friends, Missionaries, and former Bethany members abroad who took time, travel from great distances to celebrate with us, and be an encouragement one to another. What a blessing to behold how God continuous to do a transforming work in each one’s heart, life, and ministry.

My dear brethren, let us continue to pray and be a blessing with a real sweet and excellent spirit as we move on with the main highlight of our Church anniversary celebration this week, that is the ensuing 19th World Missions Conference. What a way to remind and emphasize that our main thrust as a local Bible Believing Baptist Church is to reach the world for Christ, and always give glory to God! We likewise respond with a humble and grateful heart as we bring at the concluding part of this morning worship service, our 65th Church Anniversary Offering which we dedicate to help address the various needs and concerns of our 19th World Missions Conference.

A much more Blessed and Grace-filled 65th Church Anniversary, and 19th World Missions Conference to us all!

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
