AUGUST 12, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We praise and thank God for another milestone occasion in our World Missions thrust with the Commissioning today, along with our 4 o’ clock afternoon service, of our on-deck Missionary couple to CRAN, Bro. JJS. They will be our second Missionary family to the country of CRAN, with Missionary RC family as our first, having been commissioned last year, and were accordingly accepted to use the Asia Baptist Clearinghouse servicing facility. What a blessing and special favour from our sovereign and gracious Heavenly Father to be the sending Church and Mission base of these two Missionary families reaching not only the Jews but also other nationalities in Israel.

In line with the message and challenge we had last Sunday morning worship service, we CONTINUE on stepping out in faith to higher ground in our World Missions movement. Would to God we keep up with the challenge to at least equal our Faith Promise Missions Giving with that of our Tithing. Just like Caleb of old, we can conquer mountains and giants if we wholly follow the Lord. God wants us to serve Him with conviction, and in so doing, we will with His help be able to accomplish great things to His glory.

Let us likewise continue to pray and prepare for our upcoming 20th LDWBC College Day, and the ensuing 11th Soul Winning Leadership Conference. We thank God and rejoice with the continuing blessings in our educational ministries, and soul winning thrust and engagements. We praise God for the growing number of students both from the local and foreign fields, going through the mentoring, training, and equipping process for effective service in God’s vineyard. As we press on the course, may we, just like Caleb, be always eager and passionate to confront the challenges with an unwavering faith in the presence, power, provision, protection, and promises of God.

Caleb clearly demonstrated the truth of Isaiah 12:2 where it confidently declares, “Behold God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” Caleb demonstrates very well that “the just shall live by faith!” It is indeed amazing what God can do and will do with a man or woman of God with conviction.

My dear brethren, would to God we fervently press on as a Church family in faithfully and diligently stewarding our growing Church Ministries and Mission work s here and abroad. We CONTINUE onward to our 65th year and beyond. Just like Caleb, we are never too old to make new conquests of faith in the power of the Lord!

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
