APRIL 15, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We praise and thank God for the unprecedented, record-high Faith Promise Missions Offering last Sunday that even exceeded the Tithe. While it was with what we may call a windfall giving, it was nonetheless orchestrated by God, and another testament of God’s sustaining great grace and divine favour. We could aptly and rightly exclaim with the Psalmist, “This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes”.

We have lik e wise once again experienced what is affirmed in II Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” We therefore, by God’s guidance and leadership, continue to see, seize, and steward the various challenges, needs, and opportunities in advancing the cause of local and foreign Missions, as well as the Forgotten, Ignored, Neglected, Despised or Abandoned (FIND-A) field of “Samaria”. Apparently, the Lord continues to lead us to abound to every good work in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

With the trip tomorrow to H. then B., I., we explore possibilities of a new Mission work in B., even initially as extension from our Bethany daughter Church in H.. In addition to meeting with, and accordingly seeing, assessing, and ministering in the work of a N. Bro. B.A. as were earlier invited-requested, we are likewise scheduled to meet an American long-time Missionary to B., Rev. D.W., and also an I. Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church- B., Rev. N.C. for the desired establish and enlarge partnership in reaching the locals and other nationalities in that region.

The trip then next week to Davao, particularly in Tagum, would surely be another good prospect and welcomed step to eventually and formally s tart-up a Mission work in the city, and thereupon help other existing works, reach not only the people in the area, but also, through our on-deck Missionary Rhory Mearns, reach-out with the Gospel of Hope and Life the LGBT community.

My dear brethren, let us continue to step out in faith, and consequently, as Psalm 107:24 reveals, “see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.”

May we CONTINUE praising God for His greatness which is truly unsearchable! Would to God we clearly recognize the fact that “God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
