Dear Brethren,
As Missions is the heartbeat of God, and the true Mission of the Church, let us always be reminded of, and take to heart the fulfillment, and even, by God’s enabling grace, the desired leveling-up of our Stewardship and Faith Promise Missions Giving Commitment.
We thank God for the Php208k Missions offering last Sunday, the highest thus far for this Missions fiscal year. This brings to Php188k the Faith Promise Missions Giving weekly average for the past 6 Sundays, since we renew and start giving our commitment last March 03. This is barely a little over our weekly average last year 2018 at Php187k. We believe God will enable us to do much more considering that said amount is just around 65% of our Tithes.
We pray that every member sincerely get engaged, trusting God to at least equal our Faith Promise with that of our Tithes. It is indeed but a good starting benchmark, fully assured as Ephesians 3:20 would clearly declare that God “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think , according to the power that worketh in us.”
The Apostle Paul in II Timothy 1:12b confidently upholds, “for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” From this we are indeed certain that God securely and safely guards everything we commit to Him from our soul and life, to all others that we entrust to his care and disposal. God undoubtedly can do a much better work than we, with the rest that we reserve for ourselves. May we deeply realize the blessed implications of such sincere and total commitment of our best and all to the Lord!
There is surely that urgent need to be filled NOW with the Holy Spirit. While the most important command for the unbelievers is in Acts 17:30b, “…but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent”, we believe the most important command for the child of God is in Ephesians 5:18b, “…be filled with the Spirit”. As one is filled or controlled by the Holy Spirit of God, the fulfillment of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will surely be smoothly carried out.
My dear brethren, with such filling of the Holy Spirit in our lives, our Lord Jesus Christ would clearly be seen in and through us. Consequently, we will truly live joyfully, love successfully, and labour powerfully!
All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
