Dear Brethren,
Thank God for the traveling safety from Manila to H.C.M. last Thursday morning, as well as His guiding hand and favour in the prior “clear passage” at our Airport Immigration especially with my “first timer” companions: Bethany’s newlywed couple D. and T.P., and Ma’am M.E.’s nephew, J. A.. Thank God likewise for the privilege and opportunity to minister last Thursday evening initially in a baptismal service, and thereafter administer the baptism of a young V. lady, Sis. V., from our work in T.N. led by Missionary EQ. It was followed by the midweek service, and the concluding maiden Lord’s Supper observance with our Mission work in District 7-HCM City led by Missionary JE.
It was then an hour domestic flight from HCM to our Mission work here in N.T. last Friday afternoon. Praise God for the special service and Prayer Meeting with the brethren last Friday evening and the opportunity to administer baptism yesterday for a family of 4 here in N.T.. What a blessing as well to see thereafter our extension tribal work in K.V. province some 2 hours from the city where we have already some 32 baptized believers-members. Do pray as we then celebrate today of our N.T. work’s 1st Mission anniversary and 1st World Missions Conference in the morning and afternoon services respectively. The Lord’s Supper observance they prayed for will be this early evening. We thereafter travel overland this late evening to P., and onwards early morning tomorrow, Monday to R. in C.
On a memorable side note, it was in August 04, 1974 exactly 45 years ago when I got baptized, and became part of our Bethany family. It was in the last week of the preceding month July when I trusted and received Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord. Thank God for His continuing leadership and guidance through the years, being part of His representative body vigorously reaching the lost world with the Gospel of salvation. We praise God for the 28 additional for the month of July new Bethany members who came in last Monday’s New Members Reception Fellowship. What a blessing and encouragement to see many more coming to the Lord, getting saved, following the Lord in baptism, identifying with Christ’s body, and getting involved in the ministry.
Our V.-C. Missions trip winds up with the brief visit to our work in P.P. (Missionary R.R.) on Wednesday, and the adjusted needed quick trip to B. via P. (Missionary B.C. and family) on Thursday. It surely will be a blessing to see and rejoice with the new mother K. and father R. with their heritage baby boy R. I.. It will then be early morning on Friday, August 09 with the overland trip back to H.C.M. to catch up the return flight to Manila in the afternoon.
Thank you my dear brethren for your fervent prayers in this tight but optimized Missions ministries engagements. Let us continue to be faithful in the Lord and in His Church, and intently get involved in the respective Church ministries as our reasonable response to God’s call and our giftedness.
All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
