MAY 26, 2019 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

My wife and I are deeply grateful to the Lord and you, our beloved Bethanytes, for the many diverse, and even surprise ways of expressing your greetings, love, support, and encouragement on the occasion of our 37th wedding anniversary and my 63rd birthday. Thank you for the numerous love notes and love gifts. Thank you as well for your prayers in our maximized family and ministry trip here in USA. We arrived safely last Wednesday morning here in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and are having good and delightful fellowship time with my 92-year old mother and with my 5 siblings and their respective families. It is truly a great joy to be part of a loving, praying, and understanding Church family united in spirit, heart, and mind towards pursuing God’s plan and purpose in reaching the lost world and truly glorifying Him.

We thank God for the Missionary Commissioning of Bro. Angelito Patpat Jr. with his wife Helda last Sunday in our 4 o’ clock afternoon service as our new Missionary couple in the local field. They will continue on the work in Bethany Iponan Mission in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao that was started by Missionary Jun Albao. The Patpat family are natives of Cagayan de Oro City, and were under the tutelage of Missionary Albao for some years. Bro. Angelito and Sis. Helda had also their training and exposure in the ministries here in Bethany Makati for a year and for a month respectively.

What a blessing to formally recognize as a Church God’s call upon the Patpat couple and thereupon send them forth to the Mission field. They left for Cagayan de Oro last Monday afternoon together with Missionary Albao for the formal turn-over today of the Mission work leadership. We pray for Bro. Jun Albao and wife Mabeth as the Lord has impressed upon them their redirection most likely to the Mission field of Trece Martires in the province of Cavite. We shall in due time formally recognize as a Church their redirection to the specific field God called them to.

It will then be on June 16 along with our Sunday afternoon service when we also formally recognize God’s call upon, and accordingly do the Missionary Commissioning of Bro. J.L. with his wife Y. back to their country in Indonesia particularly in Batam. It is certainly a welcomed development in our Missions thrust with our serious and vigorous fulfillment of the Great Commission.

It is therefore in this light, and as God directs us that we continue to level-up in our Faith Promise Missions Giving. We press on to earnestly respond to the challenge and make good our commitment to at least match-up our Missions giving with that of our Tithing.

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
