JANUARY 21, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

It was in last Wednesday Midweek service when we were reminded of the need to have a sincere commitment as a Church, and as individual member to CONTINUE in the basic matters of evangelism, discipleship, training, integrity, sacrifice, stewardship, partnership, and perseverance. This is virtually the thrust of our Church anniversary and World Missions Conference theme this year—”CONTINUE”.

We are to essentially CONTINUE in our Biblical mandate to reach the lost world. This is basically the pursuit of the Great Commission, among others, based on Matthew 28:18-20, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe a ll things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” As Christ Body, we are to inspire people to have a heart f or God through our Biblical outreach. We then move on that they be included in the Church Body by baptism, and where they will be instructed from God’s Word, and get involved in the ministry, that their life would likewise be an influence for Christ.

We CONTINUE on with a focused heart on God and an abiding trust in Him, growing in spirit, in wisdom, and in grace. Let us continue growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our goal is Christ and truly be like Him! The Bible in Acts 13:43 reminds us to “continue in the grace of God.” In Acts 14:22, we are exhorted “to continue in the faith”. The Apostle Paul testifies in his defence before Agrippa in Acts 26:22, “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come.

My dear brethren, let us CONTINUE on with our Biblical purpose of glorifying God, reaching the lost world, and truly be faithful and diligent in fulfilling God’s call.

All By God’s Grace and For His Glory!
