FEBRUARY 18, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We praise and thank God for the great success and blessed outcome of our 64th Church anniversary celebration and the highlighted 18th World Missions Conference. Glory be to God for the 64 blessed years behind us, and as the Lord tarries His coming, for the many more fruitful years before us. We appropriately declare with the Psalmist in Psalm 126:3, “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” It was indeed a great blessing and answered prayer to behold the sweet and united spirit of the conference. Similarly, hearts were tender, yielded, humbled, responsive, and submissive to God and His Word. God has indeed mightily used our seasoned and Spirit-led main speakers as Dr. Jack Baskin and Dr. Jon Konnerup.

We thank God for the 899 registered delegates comprising of 428 Pastors and Missionaries. The morning and evening services were always full-packed with even a great number of overflow crowd especially in the final night. Attendance in the services ranges from 1000 to 1500. God knows and only eternity can reveal the manifold life-changing decisions made in every altar call filled with hearts obedient, yielded, and committed to CONTINUE for and with God. We see this as the largest and best thus far through the 18 years annual World Missions Conference. Surely, as the Psalmist proclaims in Psalm 118:23, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” We realize though that the best is yet to come!

My dear brethren, I sincerely thank God for, and deeply appreciate your willing and glad hearts that CONTINUE to serve, and “spend and be spent” to the glory of God. It is indeed a testament of God’s sustaining, empowering, and replenishing great grace. Many of you even applied for leave of absence from your respective work places, seizing the opportunity to once again be a blessing and a channel of God’s blessings. Everyone heartily did its part in various areas of service, even those behind the scenes. May our good and faithful Lord reward you richly! Hebrews 6:10 aptly reminds us, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

Let us, my dear Bethany brethren, CONTINUE by faith, and seriously take to heart the challenge to level-up in our Faith Promise Missions Giving even as we CONTINUE to send-out, and prayerfully as well as financially support our local and foreign Mission works and Missionaries. Would to God the gains of the conference move beyond, with hearts challenged and surrendered to CONTINUE giving and doing much more in the vast harvest fields.

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
