APRIL 29, 2018 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

It was another blessed missions trip last week at Tagum City, Davao del Norte on validating the bright prospects of formally starting a mission work in said area through God’s call on our Bro. Rhory Mearns. We thank God for the varied open doors of opportunities in teaching out the city and beyond in the different walk s of life, much more with the interesting testimony of how God work ed in the life of Bro. Mearns, a former transgender, reached-out with the Gospel, got saved, transformed, and now living for, and serving faithfully our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We thank God for His renewing grace in the case of Bro. Rhory Mearns. We pray that we formally recognize as a Church body God’s call on him, and accordingly have his Commissioning/sending-out (with the authority to baptize) as our Missionary to Davao on May 20 in that Sunday 4 o’ clock afternoon service.

We pray fervently as well for the bright prospect on the soon donation/turn-over of a good size lot property of around 1500-2000 square meters that is within the city proper for the Church Mission use. We thank God for moving the heart of one of our old time Bethany members who is currently in Tagum City seeking to thresh-out encumbrances in h er inherited lot, which was already located-verified in last week ’s visit, and thereafter effect documentation for smooth transfer to Bethany, dedicated for God’s work in the city. Truly, God is ahead of us, even as He orchestrates the related confluence of events and people He uses in putting things together.

We seek anew your prayers as my wife and I continue to minister here in H.C.M.. I am scheduled to preach this morning at Grace Baptist International Mission Church, and this afternoon at our Bethany Mission work led by Missionary J.E.. Thank God likewise for the brief pause even as we fellowship with the Missionaries and brethren here in V.. It is indeed a blessed opportunity to minister, encourage, and bring God’s Word and challenge in the scheduled speaking/preaching engagements. Need your prayers as well as I meet and interview some 11 prospective V. students who desire to pursue their Bible College education in Bethany Makati this coming school year.

My dear brethren, we praise God for the continuing climb in our Faith Promise Missions Giving, as well as the continuing improvement in the ratio of Faith Promise Missions Giving to Tithe. What a testimony of God’s amazing grace and power as our Missions giving even surpassed our Tithes in a couple of Sundays this month of April. We therefore CONTINUE to pres s on as we were charged in last Wednesday’s Midweek service reminder and challenge, taken from Philippians 3:12-16. Such has to be done with a heart of humility, focused on Christ, and guided by, and obedient to the Word of God

All By God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
