OCTOBER 1, 2017 – NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Brethren,

We thank God, and appreciate your prayers brethren for the safe trip last Monday by Cathay Pacific Airways from Manila to Newark, New Jersey via Hongkong. This first leg of the trip here in New Jersey has accomplished its primary purpose for us to visit, fellowship with, and celebrate last Wednesday, and with the formal public celebration yesterday, of my mom’s 90th birthday. My wife and I had the opportunity as well to accompany my mom in her regular medical check-up especially in relation with her shoulder arthritis and eye discomfort. We are truly grateful for how the Lord has continued to bless my mom with renewed daily strength and remarkably sharp memory.

What a blessing likewise to share God’s Word last Friday in a C. Independent Baptist Church—Youth Fellowship here in Cherry Hill NJ. It is truly encouraging and inspiring to see young people, as these C. who were born and reared here in America, still having tender and responsive hearts for God and His Word.

Please do pray as I am scheduled to bring God’s and challenge this Sunday morning, early afternoon, and late afternoon at Baptist Churches in Delaware, Philadelphia, and here in New Jersey respectively. These are relatively composed of Filipino membership, and preaching schedules were earlier arranged and coordinated with my youngest brother, Pastor Darius.

The 2nd leg of this US trip starts tomorrow, October 02 early Monday, morning, with some 10 to 12 hours overland travel to Georgia and Tennessee from New Jersey. This is principally to visit our Pastor Emeritus Jose Luis Reunilla, and likewise Sis. Edith Ferrer Jarrett and a good number of our Ministry partners in the area as Rock of Ages Ministries, International Board for Jewish Missions (IBJM), and Baptist International Mission, Incorporated (BIMI). My brother, Pastor Darius, graciously volunteered to drive for, and accompany us on this 2nd leg.

It will then be on Thursday, October 05 early morning when we proceed by around 8-hour overland trip to BBFI in Springfield, Missouri to meet and fellowship, among others, with Dr. Jon and mam Pam Konnerup, Pastor Lloyd Baker, and hopefully mam Marguerite Vella. We then leave for a 3-hour drive to Kansas City in the afternoon of Friday, October 06, and prepare for the direct flight to Los Angeles, California in the morning of Saturday for the 3rd and final leg of the US trip. My brother on the other hand flies back then to New Jersey with the rented vehicle returned even at Kansas City Airport branch.

Again, thank you my dear brethren for your prayers for this trip entreating God’s favor and replenishing strength in every step of the way. We continue to maximize and make the most of every opportunity to minister, and enjoy every moment of the journey. Would to God we all prayerfully and faithfully go through together in God’s open doors.

All by God’s Grace and For God’s Glory!
Pastor Gerry Nable
